Honor Credit Union – New Operations Center

ST. JOSEPH, MI (November 14, 2013) — Honor Credit Union is pleased to announce its plans to begin construction on a centralized operations center in Berrien Springs, MI.  Currently Honor Credit Union’s operational support is split between multiple offices in Berrien County.  The new location in Berrien Springs is just north of the U.S. 31 highway exit and is being designed to unify Honor’s entire support team, providing an even higher level of service to our members and efficiency for the organization.

“A combined operations center is a great step toward continuously improving efficiencies and value to our member/owners,” comments CEO Scott McFarland.  “Uniting all of our operational support team members in one facility that is centrally located in the county with easy expressway access is important for the organization.”

The operations center is anticipated to be complete by the spring of 2015, and will encompass approximately 30,000 square feet on a little more than six acres of land.  The selected Berrien Springs property site provides a centralized location and easy access to the highway.  This increase in space will give Honor Credit Union the ability to better support the retail branch network, new technology, and leverage efficiencies to the communities and members it serves.  Honor is working with EC Moore of Berrien County and Collective Office for the design/build work on the project.  The existing Saint Joseph retail branch will remain in place and will receive updates of its own once the operations center is complete.

Honor Credit Union is a $470 million member owned financial institution.  Honor currently provides solutions for financial success to over 41,000 members in fourteen Michigan counties.   The credit union has been proud to call Berrien County home for 79 years and takes pride in working and serving many communities in Michigan.
