ST. JOSEPH, MI (June 12, 2014) -- Powered By Honor, Honor Credit Union’s charity organization, is proud to support the Berrien County Relay for Life with a $180 dollar donation to the Honor Credit Union relay team. The Honor Credit Union relay team captain, Stephanie Martinek, received the donation from Powered By Honor Board Member and Secretary, Kaylee Williams. As Powered By Honor is funded largely by employee donation, this year each Honor Credit Union branch was able to select a charity or organization to donate to. The Berrien County Relay for Life team was one of Honor’s Saint Joseph Branch choices.
The Berrien County Relay for Life event will take place at the Berrien County fairgrounds Saturday June 28, 2014. Honor Credit Union’s team will join the festivities with members walking and camping out for the duration of the event. With a theme “Dreaming of a Cancer Free Christmas,” the Honor Credit Union team area will be a festive scene featuring christams lights and decorations. The team has taken their theme to heart, with every team member contributing to the fundraising efforts to assist the American Cancer Society in finding a cure.
