Honor Credit Union: Powered By Honor Donates $5,000 to Humane Society of SWM
ST JOSEPH, MI (May 19, 2014) — Powered By Honor, Honor Credit Union’s charity organization, is proud to continue their support of the Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan. Powered By Honor presented a $5,000 check to the Humane Society at the 6th Annual Bid For Barks, the Humane Society’s benefit to raise funds for a new shelter. Powered By Honor challenged Honor Credit Union employees to a fundraiser, agreeing to match the funds raised. The Honor team stepped up to the challenge, resulting in a $5,000 donation to the Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan.
With a mission to help shelter the homeless animals of Southwestern Michigan, the Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan is dedicated to providing shelter, food, and medical care, as well as promoting adoptions, spay and neuter intiatives, and responsible pet ownership. Receiving zero funding from any government organization or affiliate, donations like Powered By Honor’s $5000, are crucial to supporting the Humane Society’s mission and contributing towards their fund for a new building. Aiming to grow their capacity and update their facility, the Humane Society’s new building will allow the not-for-profit group to positively impact even more animals. Powered By Honor is extremely appreciative to be able to contribute to the Humane Society’s project.
Powered By Honor exists to partner with communities. In addition to corporate donations and sponsorships for many local organizations, Honor Credit Union team members contribute countless hours of service to organizations within its communities every year.
