Hopewell Federal Credit Union brings on new manager

HEATH/NEWARK, OH (November 15, 2013) — Hopewell Federal Credit Union (HFCU) welcomed Rusty Young as Business Development and Branch Manager of its Newark location at 1690 N. 21st Street.  Rusty spent the past 23 years with Telhio Credit Union.  During his lengthy tenure with the organization, he held a host of diverse positions including Teller, Loan Officer, Business Development Officer, Corporate Trainer and Branch Manager.

Rusty has been an active community leader with participation in Ronald McDonald House Charities, New Albany Chamber Board, The Taste of New Albany chairperson (3 years), the Licking County Visitor Bureau’s Board, and the Light the Night Walk benefiting the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. In addition, he has served various non- profit organizations with financial counseling classes including an after school program for the Upper Arlington Elementary Schools focusing on finances for kids.

A Licking County resident, he resides in Licking Valley with his wife of 15 years.  A chance meeting on the teller line at Telhio which blossomed into a 15 year marriage.  Together they share a passion for animals and old farm houses.  Their farm, built in 1906, is home to 3 horses and 9 cats.  Their oldest horse is a healthy 32 years old and oldest cat named “Bibby” is an arthritic 18 years old.  A man rooted in his community boasts of being a homebody who enjoys fixing up his old farm house, gardening and spending time with his animal family.
