DES MOINES, IA (June 19, 2014) — The Iowa Credit Union Foundation (ICUF) raised more than $12,000 at its 2014 Annual Golf Classic Fundraiser. This support helps to ensure that ICUF is able to reach more low income families in Iowa.

“Thanks to our generous sponsors and donors, the Iowa Credit Union Foundation is able to offer a variety of programs that help Iowans build wealth, responsibility and independence,” said Jaimie Miller, Executive Director, ICUF.

“We truly appreciate the support of our credit unions and vendors who helped make this event a success. Their participation speaks to the credit union motto of ‘people helping people,’” said Dale Owen, CEO of Ascentra Credit Union and Chair, ICUF.

Founded in 1995 as the philanthropic arm of the Iowa Credit Union League, the Iowa Credit Union Foundation’s (ICUF) primary focus is to eliminate poverty in the state of Iowa. ICUF seeks to carry out its mission to help Iowans build wealth, responsibility and independence through its various programs, grants and scholarships. For more information, visit
