Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union distributes donations from the Steve Jones Legacy Fund

LOWELL, MA (October 12, 2022) — Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union is proud to announce the 2022 recipients of the Steve Jones Legacy Fund are; Cooperative Credit Union Association – Bed for a Child, Greater Lowell YMCA, Town of Chelmsford Scholarship Committee, Project Kompass, D’Youville Foundation, and Whistler House Museum of Art.

The Credit Union established the Steve Jones Legacy Fund through the We Share A Common Thread Foundation in memory of Steve. Steve was a 20-year veteran of the Credit Union and was well-known throughout Greater Lowell for his compassion, friendly nature, and unwavering commitment to so many organizations in the community. He passed away unexpectedly in September 2016. Steve had a simple but important message, “Go Forth & Serve”.  Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union strives to honor Steve by supporting his mission daily through many community-wide volunteer efforts.

Representatives from each of the recipient organizations joined the Credit Union at the UMass Lowell River Hawks hockey game on Saturday, October 1st, 2022 to honor and remember Steve, who had an extraordinary impact on the local community.

“We are so proud to be able to continue Steve’s legacy through this fund named in honor of him,” said Mark S. Cochran, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union. “The organizations that we honor are those that were important to Steve and are important to us.”

The Credit Union will continue to distribute funds on an annual basis. Information on how to donate to the Steve Jones Legacy Fund can be found at WSACT.com
