Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union gives back for World Kindness Day

LOWELL, MA (November 30, 2020) — On November 13, World Kindness Day, Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union surprised customers at the Fletcher Street Market Basket in Lowell, with gift cards as part of its Small Acts That Give Back initiative.

For the past three years, Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union’s President and CEO, Mark Cochran, and Team Members surprised shoppers by handing out 100, $15 gift cards to assist with their shopping.

“We’re happy to give back to the community we care so much about in unique and meaningful ways,” said Mark S. Cochran, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union. “This year has been tough on everyone. We wanted to bring some joy to others in celebration of World Kindness Day.”

Jeanne D’Arc’s Small Acts That Give Back initiative includes various campaigns throughout the year giving back to the community in some small way. The current campaign, is a gas card giveaway surrounding the theme, “Drive Local, Shop Local,” encouraging people to shop locally in support of local businesses.
