Jeanne D’arc Credit Union signs 5-year agreement to be premier sponsor of Lowell Summer Music Series

LOWELL, MA (April 7, 2015) — Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union is pleased to announce that it has signed a five-year agreement with the Lowell Festival Foundation to be the premier sponsor of the Lowell Summer Music Series.

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with the Lowell Summer Music Series by helping to provide affordable outdoor concerts for residents of Greater Lowell,” said Mark S. Cochran, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union. “The Lowell Summer Music Series provides outstanding musical performances. We are proud to be a part of continuing that tradition.”

In 2012, Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union partnered with the Lowell Summer Music Series and Lowell Festival Foundation in a three-year agreement to serve as the premier sponsor. This new agreement will strengthen the existing partnership.

The nonprofit Lowell Summer Music Series – which hosts performances at Boarding House Park – held 18 concerts last summer in various musical genres, including rock, pop, folk, reggae, jazz, blues, country, and, of course, the annual Banjo & Fiddle contest as well as numerous children’s concerts.

“Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union is playing a substantial role in the Series, allowing us to bring bigger acts and attract more audience to downtown Lowell and the Lowell National Historical Park. We are thankful for this commitment,” said Peter Aucella, assistant superintendent of the Lowell National Historical Park, who founded the Series 26 years ago.
