JetStream FCU participates in the ALS Bucket Challenge – with an added twist
MIAMI LAKES, FL (September 19, 2014) — The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has swept the nation with thousands and thousands of gallons of ice water dumped on heads of individuals seemingly on a hourly basis – all documented on video. Not to be denied an opportunity to give back, JetStream Federal Credit Union was challenged to the Bucket Challenge by fellow CU peer Power Financial Credit Union and participated as well – with a bit of a twist. Not only did the credit union donate $500 to ALS, but it also donated another $500 to each of its local community charities including: Family Christian Association of America (FCAA), The Edge (Early Development for Global Education) and His House Children’s Home.

“We are incredibly proud to participate in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge,” states JetStream President/CEO Jeanne Kucey. “But in typical JetStream fashion we took it three steps further by donating to our local charity partners, as well. We feel that we should not only support nationwide movements that affect us all in some way but also stepping up to be there for our local partners, as they need some hometown assistance. Kudos to everybody at JetStream; I am very proud of our credit union.”
