Kayla Pulvermacher joins DakCU Advocacy Staff
BISMARCK, ND (December 2, 2020) — The Dakota Credit Union Association (DakCU) is pleased to announce an exciting expansion for our advocacy team with the addition of Kayla Pulvermacher as the new State Legislative Director.
Pulvermacher joins the association with a vast amount of legislative and government relations experience, as well as a degree in Political Science from North Dakota State University. Most recently, she served as a policy advisory and account executive for Clearwater Communications where she assisted clients with government relations, policy strategy, and served as lead lobbyist for several nonprofit organizations.
Prior to her work at Clearwater, she served as the director of government relations for the North Dakota Farmers Union, where she coordinated all advocacy activities, including specific issue campaigns and state and federal relations. While employed at Farmers Union, she was named one of Prairie Magazine’s “Top 40 Under 40.” She was also a previous director of government relations for the North Dakota Education Association.
In her new role at DakCU, Kayla Pulvermacher will represent member credit unions in legislative matters, provide updates to the ND Governmental Affairs Committee (GAC) and assist with political fundraising objectives. In addition, she will serve as the Executive Director of the Dakota Credit Union Foundation, overseeing fundraising and marketing strategies in coordination with the Foundation Board of Directors.
