Kohler Credit Union makes donation to Children’s Miracle Network and United Way

KOHLER, WI (January 23, 2015) — Children’s Miracle Network and United Way will each receive a donation from Kohler Credit Union thanks to the efforts of credit union employees who participated in various fundraising activities at their annual holiday party. The event brought in a grand total of $9328 which will be equally split between the two charities to help with their fundraising efforts.

The fundraising activities brought in a total of $4664 through various raffle and auction items that were donated by employees and various businesses in the community. The credit union then matched that amount dollar-for-dollar for a grand total of $9328 to be donated to the two charities.

“Kohler Credit Union would like to thank the businesses, organizations and affiliates that donated items for the holiday party. Our organization is exceptionally proud to be a part of such a generous community,” said Tony Klockow, president of Kohler Credit Union.

Children’s Miracle Network is an international non-profit organization that raises funds and awareness for children’s hospitals, medical research and community awareness of children’s health issues. They actively help local families by supporting improved health care to millions of children worldwide.

United Way is a national non-profit organization consisting of volunteers, contributors and local charities focused on helping people in their communities. Their three main areas of concentration are improving education, helping people achieve financial stability and promoting healthy lives.

Kohler Credit Union is a $285 million not-for-profit, financial cooperative, owned and governed by its members. Membership is open to anyone who lives or works in Sheboygan, Calumet, Fond du Lac, Manitowoc, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Washington or Waukesha County; as well as their immediate family members and associations or organizations.
