Labor CU partners with Labor Council for Latin American advancement, expanding field of membership

Labor Credit Union is proud to announce a new partnership with The Labor Council for Latin American Advancement (LCLAA). The Credit Union’s field of membership will now include LCLAA members.

Founded by a group of Latino trade unionists in 1973, LCLAA has become the leading advocacy group for Latino working rights in the United States. It represents the interest of more than 2 million Latino workers in the American Federation of Labor-Congress of Industrial Organizations.

“We are extremely excited about, and appreciative of the opportunity to partner with the LCLAA and include their members in our credit union’s field of membership” said Thomas Domingue, Labor Credit Union President/CEO. “This is an opportunity for us to work with an organization who shares the same values and goals of expanding financial well-being that we are passionate about here at Labor Credit Union.”

According to Domingue, the partnership will allow the Credit Union to provide tools, resources, and financial services to members of LCLAA, who have historically been excluded from having access to these resources.

“We are looking forward to making an impact in the lives of these members and helping them on their financial wellness journey,” said Domingue.

In addition to delivering financial services, resources and education on various topics, Labor CU will be a sponsor of the LCLAA 50th anniversary gala celebration at the Mayflower Hotel on September 28, 2022 in Washington DC.
