LAFCU announces 2023 scholarships

Los Angeles Federal Credit Union (LAFCU) is kicking the new year off by offering five scholarships at $2,000 each. You are eligible to apply if you are a LAFCU member who is a high school senior or college student with a minimum 2.5 GPA and has verification of attending a college, university, or trade school in Fall 2023. Scholarship winners are selected based on their academic transcript, extracurricular activities, community service, and essay. For 2023, we are accepting submissions through our online application system, or entries can be emailed to morozco@LAFCU.org. We will no longer be accepting submissions via U.S. mail. Since 2006, we have awarded over $108,000 in scholarships to help 92 deserving students and/or teachers. The competition is named after the late Jack C. Mathews, who worked for the City of Los Angeles 40 years and served 34 years as a volunteer on the LAFCU credit union board.
