LAFCU creates position focused on membership experience

Credit union veteran Angie Ruzinsky promoted to chief membership officer

LANSING, MI (April 8, 2019) — LAFCU has created the position of chief membership officer to help lead the credit union in delivering exceptional service to its membership. Credit union veteran Angie Ruzinsky has been promoted to the new position.

“Angie’s extensive credit union background, including experience as a CEO, coupled with her passion for our membership, will assist LAFCU in designing and deploying systems, processes and products that deliver exceptional service to our nearly 65,000 members,” said LAFCU CEO Patrick Spyke.

In the new position, Ruzinsky provides strategic direction and executive oversight to the operation of LAFCU’s 10 branches, Contact Center, interactive teller machines (ITMs) and loss prevention department. She reports to Spyke.

Ruzinsky has worked at credit unions since 1987. She was with Centel Credit Union of Owosso for 26 years and led it as CEO for 17 years prior to its merger with LAFCU in 2013. She has since served LAFCU as regional vice president, overseeing operations for Owosso, Corunna, DeWitt, South Lansing and Collins Road branches.

She is a graduate of the CUNA Management School, an executive development program created in cooperation with the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) and the University of Wisconsin graduate school of business. Ruzinsky also holds a business degree from Baker College of Owosso.
