LAFCU promotes Emily Jannereth to oversee 10 branches, contact center

LAFCU has promoted Emily Jannereth to vice president of operations. She will oversee operations and leadership of LAFCU’s 10 branches and Contact Center.

“Emily has expertly led the Contact Center team to improve internal efficiencies and streamline processes for members for the past three years,” said Angie Ruzinsky, chief membership officer. “Her leadership skills, breadth of credit union experience and passion for credit unions will continue to serve our members as Emily takes on this expanded role.”

Jannereth has over 15 years of credit union experience, including managerial positions at other Michigan credit unions. She joined LAFCU in 2016 as an assistant vice president to lead the team that serves LAFCU membership through remote means, via ITMs (interactive teller machines), telephone and e-communication.

“I’m eager to support our operations team in this new capacity,” Jannereth said. “Our staff is what sets LAFCU apart. What we accomplish as a team for the membership is a fulfilling adventure. We work hard and get to laugh with co-workers each day; that’s when you know you are part of something extraordinary.”

Jannereth’s roots are deep in the Lansing area and the automotive industry. Her maternal grandfather retired from General Motors Co. in Lansing with 44 years of service. Her paternal grandfather owned a gas station, an auto repair shop and drove a truck.

The Lansing resident grew up in Grand Ledge. She earned an MBA at Northwood University, Midland, and a bachelor’s in zoology at Michigan State University, East Lansing.
