101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For is an awards competition providing the business community with an opportunity to gain recognition, showcase best practices and demonstrate why they are ideal places for employees to work. The 101 Best and Brightest program provides yearlong education, benchmarking, assessment tools and interaction amongst the best employers. This competition identifies and honors organizations that display a commitment to excellence in their human resource practices and employee enrichment programs. It celebrates those companies that are making the lives of their employees better, as well as the community as a whole.

Organizations are assessed based on communication, work-life balance, employee education, diversity, recognition, retention and more. Participating companies can benchmark their results with other cities such as Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York, Nashville and Chicago, among others.

LMCU’s Senior Vice President of Talent, Nora Swart, is pleased with this new national designation. “This is wonderful validation of our corporate culture, and how it applies equally to both our members and employees. We strive to make each member experience positive and favorable, and we work just as hard to make sure every employee feels valued. It’s about more than just pay and benefits, though. Our corporate culture reflects our corporate DNA. Our goal is to attract and retain top talent. Every employee values a work environment that encourages and cultivates career skills. And they seek employers whose culture matches their own values. This award validates the efforts we make toward becoming an employer of choice for job seekers.”
