Lake Trust Credit Union (Lake Trust), a community-based credit union serving nearly 200,000 individuals and businesses throughout Michigan, is hosting their $99 Mortgage Refinance program that, in addition to reduced closing costs, will donate $100 for every completed refinance loan to a housing non-profit providing COVID-19 relief to local communities.
“Lake Trust is committed to being an engine of financial wellbeing for our members and the communities we serve,” said Linda Douglas, vice president of marketing, brand strategy and innovation at Lake Trust. “This mortgage program helps members by reducing mortgage refinancing costs while simultaneously supporting the housing needs of Michigan communities. Nonprofit organizations providing housing assistance have seen significant increase in need in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Lake Trust will continue to support programs that advance the needs of our community.”
Through Dec. 31, Michigan residents refinancing through Lake Trust partner Mortgage Center, will only pay $99 in lending fees, averaging a total savings of $989 on closing costs. The simple, streamlined application process is open to members and non-members alike, with non-members able to begin the refinancing process and complete a membership with Lake Trust prior to their closing date.
