Land of Lincoln Credit Union names new CEO

DECATUR, IL (July 21, 2015) — The Board of Directors of Land of Lincoln Credit Union are pleased to announce the appointment of Douglas B. Harris as the next CEO following the retirement of former CEO, Mac Dunaway. “We were searching for a person with the right balance of experience, vision, and passion to lead our team as we continue to grow. Doug brings that balance and we are very excited about the future of our Credit Union under his leadership” states Mark Kennedy, Board Chairman.

Harris_Doug 2015Before joining Land of Lincoln Credit Union, Douglas B. Harris was the President of Centra Credit Union in Columbus, IN.  Doug began his banking career in 1985 at First Merchants Bank of Muncie, Indiana where he held the positions of Commercial Credit Manager, Assistant Comptroller, and Vice President of Finance.  In 2001 Doug joined Centra Credit Union as their Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.  Doug was promoted to Executive Vice President and President before leaving Centra.

Mac Dunaway and the Board of Directors, have the company moving in the right direction. My goal is to maintain and enhance that forward momentum.”

Doug is a graduate of Ball State University of Muncie, Indiana where he obtained both a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree.  Doug is also graduate of the Graduate School of Banking in Madison, Wisconsin.   Doug served as a Board Member for the Credit Union Centers Shared Branching Board, FiServ Datasafe Executive Advisory Committee Member, Centra Foundation Board Member, and kidscommons Children’s Museum of Columbus, Indiana Board Member.
