Launch Federal Credit Union expands into Ormond

MERRITT ISLAND, FL (October 27, 2014) — Launch Federal Credit Union purchased 1.58 acres in Ormond Beach to build a new branch on N. Williamson Blvd. near I-95 and SR-40.   The branch is expected to be built in 2016.

“We are excited to be expanding into Ormond Beach.  This, combined with our recent land purchase in Orange City will help the credit union serve our members in Volusia County,” says Launch FCU’s CEO Joe Mirachi.  “It is an excellent location with great potential for the credit union to grow.”  This new branch will join Launch FCU’s other 12 branches throughout Volusia and Brevard Counties which currently include four in Volusia.   It will feature a drive-thru, plenty of parking, and safe deposit boxes.  At least eight new jobs will be created through the hiring of additional employees to staff the new location.  Launch FCU currently has 180 employees.

Launch Federal Credit Union will hire local contractor Rhodes Building Company to complete the building process.  They expect this project to create 286 construction jobs for a period of six months.
