LCUL assists credit unions with ongoing DEI journey with new ‘Path to Inclusion’ initiative

HARAHAN, LA (April 11, 2023) — The Louisiana Credit Union League (LCUL) has partnered with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) expert Dima Ghawi to launch our latest initiative, the Path to Inclusion. In an effort to increase and elevate the resources available to Louisiana credit unions, the Path to Inclusion project offers credit unions ongoing guidance and support on their DEI journey.

Dima has a proven track record of championing DEI in both the public and private sector with solid results. Together, LCUL and Dima look to transform the mindset of teams, individuals, and leaders to help them best support diverse communities and employees.
No matter where a credit union is on the DEI journey, whether you’ve just begun ’or looking for ways to make significant enhancements, credit unions are encouraged to utilize the many resources that include:
  • Inclusive Support Within Reach (Hotline)
  • Anti-Harassment Training
  • Implicit Bias Training for LCUL Credit Unions
  • Path to Progress Award
For more information on these resources, visit the Path to Inclusion page on LCUL’s website.
“The goal of LCUL’s Path to Inclusion initiative is to provide credit unions the resources needed in order to constantly evolve, never falling complacent with their DEI practices. Providing access to professional support as well as multiple training opportunities for staff will complement a unified vision of an inclusive work environment,” commented Lacey Weaver, Senior Vice President.
LCUL’s Path to Inclusion initiative kicks off with the first Implicit Bias Training taking place May 19. All-access harassment training will be made available early summer.
