Local School Staffer Takes Online Fin-Ed Course, Wins iPad from Altura Credit Union

(Riverside, Calif.) Oct. 10, 2012 – Altura Credit Union announced today that it awarded an Apple iPad to Elvira Sanford of Riverside, a staffer at a local elementary school. Altura offered the chance to win an iPad to people who completed at least one free online financial management course during the month of September.

Sanford and her family recently relocated to the Inland Empire from San Diego.  Her husband is a student at Cal Baptist University, and the iPad should come in handy for the entire family, she said.

The free online financial management courses are offered through Altura’s website. After taking the online course during the September promotion period and completing the related quiz, people could then complete the entry to win the iPad2.

“Throughout September people completed 457 online financial courses. This is a significant jump from a typical month.  The promotion is part of an ongoing effort at Altura to help people improve their financial literacy skills,” pointed out Maya Salem, Altura marketing manager. “The iPad is a terrific incentive for people to check out our online classes.”
