Local youths win prizes in Georgia United Credit Union’s Youth Month contest

Contest and new kids club program help kids get “wild” about saving

DULUTH, GA (June 9, 2015) — In April, Georgia United Credit Union (Georgia United) celebrated National Credit Union Youth Month, to help promote healthy savings habits at an early age, with a contest and the launch of its new Money Mammals Kids Club program.  Members ages 11 and under who visited a branch April 1-31 were entered to win Zoo Atlanta tickets and Money Mammal prizes.  Three winners were chosen:

  • Antaneisha H. in Dublin won a “Money Mammals for the Family” Pack
  • Jasimine K. in Clarkston  won a Zoo Atlanta Family and Adventure Pack
  • William S. in Rocky Face won a Zoo Atlanta Family Pack

In addition to a contest entry, all youth members who joined the Money Mammals Kids Club program were treated to free welcome bags filled with goodies to teach them how to share, save and spend smart.

The contest ran in conjunction with Georgia United’s official launch of its new Money Mammals Savings Money is Fun Kids Club. In partnership with Snigglezoo Entertainment, Money Mammals provides kids ages 11 and under and their parents with resources and tools to learn the basics of good money management.
