Magnolia Federal Credit Union to host blood drive for community
JACKSON, MS (March 3, 2023) — As a locally based, not-for-profit, member-owned financial cooperative, Magnolia Federal Credit Union is especially attuned to the needs of the community it serves. One such need came into focus for the credit union as some local blood supplies have become depleted over the winter months. To address the issue, Magnolia has partnered with Mississippi Blood Services to host a blood drive to replenish the much-needed supply.
The Magnolia Blood Drive benefiting Mississippi Blood Services will take place on March 10th from 11 am to 3 pm at the credit union’s main branch, located at 240 Briarwood Drive in Jackson. The credit union invites its members and the community to participate by donating during the blood drive. As a token of appreciation, all donors will receive a $15 Visa® gift card.
Mississippi Blood Services is the only FDA-licensed blood center headquartered in Mississippi. The not-for-profit was created to manage the state’s blood supply and services hospitals across the state.
