Maine Savings celebrates New College Avenue branch opening with four days of events

OLD TOWN, ME (August 25, 2014) — Maine Savings, one of Maine’s largest credit unions, is set to cut the ribbon on its new College Avenue branch in Old Town with a multi-day celebration, September 2-5. In addition to free food and giveaways, the events will feature a meet and greet with former University of Maine star and present Detroit Red Wings goaltender Jimmy Howard, as well as coaches of various Black Bear teams. The events are free and open to the public; Maine Savings membership is not needed to attend. All events take place at the new branch, on the corner of College and Stillwater Avenues in Old Town.

“We couldn’t be more excited to share the opening of our new branch with the Old Town and Orono communities as well as the faculty, staff, and students at the University of Maine,” said John Reed, President and CEO of Maine Savings. “In addition to the festivities, we have some big news to announce at the ribbon cutting with our friends at UMaine Athletics.”

At all events, attendees will have a chance to learn about Maine Savings’ free RedWallet checking account, and other services including online and mobile banking, mortgages, auto, credit cards, and more.
