The Normand Dubreuil Scholarship Fund helps students pay for college.
AUGUSTA, ME (May 3, 2023) — The Maine State Credit Union Board of Directors has approved a donation of $100,000 to the Normand Dubreuil Scholarship Fund at Maine Maritime Academy and the Maine Community College System. Since its inception, Maine State Credit Union has donated $350,000 to this fund and has helped over 300 Mainers.
“Maine State Credit Union is here to help all Mainers find financial security, whether through products and services or financial education,” said Stephen Wallace, CEO and President of Maine State Credit Union. “The Normand Dubreuil Scholarship Fund is another way we help people gain the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.”
The Normand Dubreuil Scholarship Fund was created in 2020 in memory of Maine State Credit Union’s late CEO. The Board of Directors wanted to honor his commitment to Maine and helping all Mainers thrive. The Maine Community College System and Maine Maritime Academy manage the funds to provide financial aid to students, regardless of their ability to pay.
“Working with an organization that cares so much about investing in the people of Maine is exceptional; I am proud to be a part of continuing this great legacy.” said Eric Poirier, Chairperson of Maine State Credit Union Board of Directors.
