Marin Community gets free financial lessons from Money Rules author Jean Chatzky

Redwood Credit Union Financial Literacy Event Reaches All Ages

SAN RAFAEL, CA (September 25, 2014) — Nearly 500 people ranging from college age to retirement age attended Redwood Credit Union’s (RCU’s) recent free Financial Wellness event, “Making Money Make Sense,” featuring author, TV personality and Today Show personal finance expert Jean Chatzky. The event, which took place Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Dominican University of California in San Rafael, included money tips from Ms. Chatzky, an audience question and answer session, and free copies of Chatzky’s book, Money Rules¸ which she signed for attendees following the event.

Known for her straightforward financial management tips, Ms. Chatzky covered topics including setting financial goals and saving for them, managing debt, saving for retirement, and more. RCU offered the event free as part of its ongoing efforts to promote financial literacy in the communities it serves.
