Raiz Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce that President and CEO Max Villaronga has received the 2026 Friend of Gigi’s Award from Gigi’s Playhouse El Paso at the Way Out West Gala on Saturday, March 21, 2026. This award recognizes Raiz’s outstanding support for the Down syndrome community.
The Friend of GiGi’s Award is an annual recognition honoring organizations that demonstrate exceptional dedication to supporting individuals with Down syndrome and advancing the mission of Gigi’s Playhouse, a non-profit organization in El Paso.
Under Villaronga’s leadership, Raiz Federal Credit Union has continued to expand its impact across the Borderplex region, prioritizing community engagement, inclusion, and access to opportunity. This recognition highlights not only his leadership but also the organization’s ongoing commitment to creating financial pathways for individuals and families to succeed while strengthening the communities it serves.
The Way Out West Gala is a signature fundraising event and part of the 12th Annual “I Have a Voice” Gala, centered around its mission of raising support for free educational, therapeutic, and career development programs for individuals with Down syndrome. The event was held on March 21, recognized globally as World Down Syndrome Day, adding special significance to the evening’s celebration and mission.
