MD|DC Credit Union Association names Point Breeze Credit Union CEO Bernard McLaughlin to Board of Directors
Baltimore, MD (August 5, 2014) — The MD|DC Credit Union Association (MD|DC CUA), the premier regional trade association for credit unions in the state of Maryland and the District of Columbia, has appointedPoint Breeze Credit Union CEO Bernard McLaughlin to its Board of Directors. McLaughlin will also serve as Vice Chair of the Advocacy Committee.
“It is an honor to join a board of strong leadership representing credit unions around the region,” said McLaughlin. “I share MDDCCUA’s commitment to promoting excellence in the credit union industry and helping credit unions provide their members exceptional service.”
McLaughlin joined Point Breeze Credit Union as President and CEO in early 2013 with extensive experience in leadership of financial institutions, including more than 30 years in executive leadership roles at various banks and credit unions on the East Coast.

McLaughlin’s continued role on the Advocacy Committee supports MD|DC CUA’s work to advance and protect the best interest of Credit Unions and its members. MD|DC CUA provides representation to elected officials at the local and National level, and keeps association affiliates abreast of legal and regulatory issues that impact the industry.
