Member Driven Technologies hosts fourth annual CEO Forum

Credit union CEOs discuss current industry trends, business challenges at annual event

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI (February 28, 2019) — Member Driven Technologies (MDT), a CUSO that hosts the Episys® core platform from Symitar® to provide a private cloud alternative for core processing and IT needs, hosted its fourth annual CEO Forum earlier this month. The event provides a unique forum for CEOs to meet with MDT and Symitar executives and collaborate on high level industry challenges and opportunities.

The annual event was held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida this year and included approximately 25 CEOs. The credit union CEOs represented institutions of varying asset sizes, geographic regions and member bases. During the event, the executives discussed broad credit union strategies and shared ways to navigate shifting industry trends.

Harvey Hoskins, CEO of PFCU, has attended MDT’s CEO Forum every year since its inception. Hoskins stated, “MDT’s CEO Forum provides an avenue to connect with my peers and key decision makers at MDT and Symitar about what’s happening in the industry, including pertinent topics from member expectations to cybersecurity. This meeting is an opportunity to step back from the tactical or technical concerns of every day and evaluate our institution and industry from a broader perspective.”

Topics discussed during the CEO Forum are prioritized based on the attending CEOs’ pre-forum input. This year’s conversations centered around themes such as member experience, digital strategy, branch automation, open banking and others. Lee Wetherington, Jack Henry & Associates’ director of strategic insight, was the event moderator.

Larry Nichols, president and chief executive officer of MDT, added, “At MDT, we recognize that direct client feedback is critical when making business and technology plans for the future. This annual event allows us to spend valuable time with our CEOs and hear openly about their concerns, pain points and goals, which ultimately helps shape our strategic direction moving forward.”

Next year’s CEO Forum will be held in the first quarter in a location to be determined.
