Members First Credit Union donates to United Way to honor business members and vendors for Thanksgiving

MIDLAND, MI (November 25, 2019) — Members First Credit Union is donating a total of $5,000 to United Way in honor of business members and vendors for Thanksgiving. The following United Ways are local to a Members First Credit Union branch and will be receiving $1,000 each: United Way of Midland County, United Way of Gratiot and Isabella Counties, United Way of Clare and Gladwin Counties, Mecosta-Osceola United Way, and Heart of West Michigan United Way.

Members First Credit Union (MFCU) is dedicated to encouraging a better tomorrow with their Community Difference Project by impacting communities in positive ways. MFCU appreciates their business members and vendors and instead of sending a Thanksgiving card and/or gift, they decided to do something different this year. As a way to honor business members and vendors and thank them for continuing to partner with MFCU, the credit union is proud to donate a total of $5,000 to United Way.

“From their annual United Way workplace campaign to volunteer events like Food from the Heart to collection drives like this month’s Spread the Warmth, Members First Credit Union is an active supporter of our mission here in West Michigan,” said Michelle Van Dyke, Heart of West Michigan United Way’s president and CEO. “We’re so grateful for their generosity.”

The MFCU Community Difference Project was started on the foundation of the credit union philosophy “people helping people.” The staff members are committed and passionate about living this philosophy by providing non-profit organizations support through monetary donations, random acts of kindness and volunteering.
