Meritrust Credit Union is pleased to announce its multi-year partnership with local nonprofit, Empower. This partnership highlights the mission of Meritrust to improve the lives of the members and communities it serves. Meritrust will donate a total of $250,000 over the next three years to help facilitate the continuation of the Empower Save, Match, Grow program. This program is uniquely designed to help educate residents on financial principles that can transform their lives. In addition to this financial contribution, Meritrust will donate teaching resources from its dedicated Financial Well-Being team to assist with programming needs in support of Save, Match, Grow.
“We are grateful for the work Empower does in our community, and we are proud to help advance the mission of the Save, Match, Grow program,” said Meritrust Co-CEO, James Nastars. “This program empowers participants to take charge of their finances and gives them tools to gain lasting financial confidence.”
“This financial contribution will go a long way towards furthering the Save, Match, Grow mission,” said Ariel Rodriguez, Executive Director of Empower. “The contribution of the time and talent of the Financial Well-Being employees from Meritrust also helps build community relationships, which is what both Empower and Meritrust is all about.”
Empower exists to provide educational, workforce-readiness and small business development resources to the residents of Nomar in Wichita. This partnership with Empower is an example of how Meritrust shows its commitment to fulfilling the credit union philosophy of people helping people in the local community.
