Point Breeze Credit Union announced several exciting personnel moves from its Hunt Valley HQ to its Westminster and Bel Air offices.
Michael Fowler was named Vice President, Member Business Banking. A Business Lending Officer with the credit union since 2021, Fowler has been instrumental in growing Point Breeze’s commercial loan portfolio, contributing to a 70% overall increase from 2021 to 2024. Notably, Point Breeze Credit Union was named by the Baltimore Business Journal as Greater Baltimore’s fastest-growing commercial loan portfolio among local credit unions in 2024. This is a testament to Fowler’s impact with the Member Business Banking team.
Fowler is a 12-year veteran of the lending and finance industry, with previous experience in commercial real estate brokerage, equipment financing, and risk assessment. Prior to joining Point Breeze Credit Union, Fowler served as Assistant Vice President for a large regional bank, where he specialized in processing and providing financial information for complex loan approvals and packages. Throughout his career, he has taken on roles of increasing responsibility at several banking, financial and commercial real estate companies.

Fowler graduated from the University of Maryland in 2006 with dual bachelor’s degrees in economics and criminology & criminal justice. He resides in Phoenix, MD with his family.
