Michigan State University Federal Credit Union announces partnership for community household items drive

EAST LANSING, MI (March 25, 2014) — MSU Federal Credit Union is pleased to partner with St. Vincent Catholic Charities (STVCC) of Lansing to host the Spring into Giving household items drive. To help local families, all Greater Lansing area MSUFCU branches will be collecting new or gently used household items including lamps, alarm clocks, plates, silverware, towels, bed sheets, pillows, brooms, mops, and other items through Friday, April 11, 2014.

“At MSUFCU, it’s our mission to provide superior service while assisting members and the community to achieve financial security, their goals, and ultimately, their dreams. The opportunity to partner with St. Vincent Catholic Charities will allow us to provide families in our community with the resources and services needed to help them achieve their dreams,” Said Patrick McPharlin, MSUFCU’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “Together, we can make a true impact on local families.”

STVCC believes that investing in our community is an essential part of empowering children and families, and is dedicated to helping those in need through its human services, counseling, and housing stability services. The Spring into Giving drive is already underway in our branches, and members and the community are encouraged to give back through donations. Bring new or gently used household items to any MSU Federal Credit Union branch today.

“Your support of our Spring into Giving drive is helping St. Vincent Catholic Charities provide those we relocate and resettle with the essential household items they need to begin rebuilding their lives in our community,” said Andrea Seyka, St. Vincent Catholic Charities, CEO.
