EAST LANSING, MI (April 15, 2014) — MSU Federal Credit Union is pleased to invite members and the community to Catch the Save Wave as part of its Kids’ Day celebration on April 26, 2014, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at MSUFCU Headquarters. Kids’ Day serves as the conclusion of National Credit Union Youth Week, running from April 21-26, 2014. Members of the media are also welcome to attend this event.

Kids’ Day will feature a number of activities for participants and their families, including: a visit from some of Potter Park Zoo’s animals, fingerprinting by the East Lansing Police Department, an exhibit from Impression 5 Science Center, crafts, games, prizes, and much more. A free lunch will be provided. Throughout the week, MSUFCU will also be giving out a free pair of sunglasses to every youth member that visits any branch location.

”The financial education and tools that the Credit Union provides is invaluable to members of all ages,” said Patrick McPharlin, MSUFCU’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “Kids’ Day allows us to provide a fun way to reach our younger members to teach them the benefits of money management and savings and to help them achieve their goals, dreams, and financial wellness from an early age.”

National Credit Union Youth Week serves as a time to teach children financial responsibility through participating in fun seminars, contests, promotions, and other financial education methods. To register for Kids’ Day, please visit www.msufcu.org/specials/youthcontestsandevents.
