EAST LANSING, MI (November 25, 2013) -- Patrick McPharlin, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MSU Federal Credit Union, is pleased to announce the promotions of Justin Drwencke to Assistant Manager at MSUFCU’s Union Branch and Jenny Smith to Assistant Manager at MSUFCU’s East Lansing Branch.
Justin Drwencke has worked for MSUFCU since August 2012. After completing MSUFCU’s Management Development program, he was promoted to Assistant Manager of MSUFCU’s Downtown Lansing Branch before becoming the Assistant Manager of MSUFCU’s Union Branch. Drwencke holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Interdisciplinary Humanities, with concentrations in mathematics, gender studies, and professional writing from Michigan State University.
Jenny Smith has been with MSUFCU since July of 2006, and was previously a mortgage loan officer before being accepted into MSUFCU’s Management Development Program. Smith holds a Masters of Arts (MA) in Organizational Leadership from Siena Heights University. She has also served on the board for the Haitian Association of Mid-Michigan, and is currently a member of the Home Builders Association of Greater Lansing and Women’s Council of Realtors.
McPharlin commented, “Through the Credit Union’s Management Development Program, Drwencke and Smith were able to enhance their understanding of management tools and strategies to become effective leaders in our branches. They will work closely in their new position with the branch team to continue our mission of providing excellent service to our members.”
