Michigan State University Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU) to Open Branch in the Sparrow Professional Building

MSUFCU’s new branch, to be located at 1200 E. Michigan Avenue in Lansing, is slated to open in early 2013.

EAST LANSING, MI—MSU Federal Credit Union will soon add its tenth Mid-Michigan location with a full-service branch within the Sparrow Professional Building in Lansing, anticipated to open in early 2013.

Along with six other financial institutions, MSUFCU recently submitted a proposal at the request of Sparrow Health System to be considered as the financial services provider within the Sparrow Professional Building. A committee of Sparrow’s management, union representatives, and Caregiver representatives then selected MSUFCU and offered the credit union the opportunity to open a branch at the Sparrow Professional Building.

MSUFCU’s President and Chief Executive Officer Patrick McPharlin stated, “MSUFCU was honored to be selected as the financial services provider at the Sparrow Professional Building because of our longstanding financial education and community programs and our proven commitment to providing exceptional member service and high-quality products.”

McPharlin continued, “MSUFCU already offers accounts and services to Sparrow Caregivers, and we are thrilled to be able to provide the added convenience of this new branch. We look forward to working with Sparrow to strengthen our partnership and provide resources to help our local community attain its goals and dreams.”

MSU Federal Credit Union, the world’s largest university-based credit union, serves Michigan State University and Oakland University faculty, staff, students, alumni association members and their families worldwide and offers a full range of personal- and business-related financial services.
