Everett, WA (August 29, 2025) |
Mill Town Credit Union has stepped forward to support local students, donating 100 backpacks filled with essential school supplies to the Everett Boys & Girls Club. The Everett Club, founded in 1946 as the first Boys & Girls Club in the area, now serves nearly 1,000 members annually.
Each backpack was carefully packed with school supplies students need to succeed, including composition books, crayons, erasers, glue sticks, markers and colored pencils. Many of the items were donated by Mill Town members, while others were purchased directly by Mill Town Credit Union.
This marks the second year Mill Town has participated in the back to-school backpack initiative. The donation reflects the credit union’s long-standing commitment to supporting the Boys & Girls Club and investing in the future of local youth.
“Our goal is to educate and help our youth and community. Without the proper tools, you can’t learn effectively. We’re helping to give students the tools they need to succeed,” said Cindy Kyle, CEO of Mill Town Credit Union. “As a credit union, we believe that when our youth succeed, our entire community grows stronger.”
Mill Town looks forward to ensuring students have the resources and support they need to thrive both in and out of the classroom and continuing its partnership with the Boys & Girls Club for years to come.
