The Mills42 FCU Team recently made a $1,500 donation to Budget Buddies, an organization dedicated to empowering women to improve their financial health. Additionally, Teller Supervisor, Kristal Padilla, and Member Service Rep, Thatiany Faria, will be conducting a three-part webinar series in Spanish to address building and maintaining a strong credit score, as well as, how to repair your credit score if it has suffered in the past and keep it on track going forward.
The unfortunate fact is that women in Massachusetts are 26% more likely to live in poverty than men, and 33% of single-mother households in Massachusetts do live in poverty.
“It’s an easy decision for Mills42 to continue working with Budget Buddies in support of their mission to promote strong financial health among women in our community,” states CEO, Derek Cronin. The lifelong financial knowledge program participants receive can also then be shared with family members and future generations. Our team looks forward to working with Budget Buddies for years to come.”
