Montgomery County Employees Federal Credit Union announces grand opening of new branch in Silver Spring
GERMANTOWN, MD (March 16, 2018) — Montgomery County Employees Federal Credit Union (MC EFCU) of Germantown, Md., is excited to announce the grand opening event and celebration of their newest branch in Silver Spring, Maryland at 8380 Colesville Road.
MC EFCU, which primarily serves Montgomery County government employees, along with members from a variety of other local businesses, has been operating the Silver Spring branch since December 2017. The grand opening event will serve as the branch’s official introduction to the Silver Spring community and provide an opportunity for local businesses to network with the credit union.
The grand opening event is scheduled for Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 10:00 am ET. The event will feature a ribbon cutting ceremony and an opportunity for local businesses and members of the Silver Spring community to see the new branch and connect with MC EFCU staff.

Malton Lightfoot-Taylor, the branch manager of the Silver Spring branch, has been heavily involved helping to establish the credit union’s footprint in Silver Spring. As part of the management team, Lightfoot-Taylor is instrumental in the branch’s future momentum. “Silver Spring is a key branch for the growth of MC EFCU,” he says. “Which is why we treat everyone coming through the branch doors with the highest level of service we can offer.”
