Mountain West Credit Union Foundation names 2014-2015 board officers
DENVER, CO (May 7, 2014) — The Mountain West Credit Union Foundation has elected its 2014-2015 board of directors officers. The officers were elected at the MWCUA’s Annual Meeting & Convention held late April in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
“The Mountain West Credit Union Foundation provides financial support for leadership development, professional development, academic scholarships and community assistance, to name just a few,” said Dr. Dan Santangelo, Executive Director of the Foundation. “We are privileged to have such dedicated leaders working to help as many people as possible via the Foundation’s resources.”
Marsha Tynsky, President and CEO of Trona Valley Federal Credit Union in Green River, Wyoming, will serve her first year as the board chair. Todd Pearson, President and CEO of Arizona Central Credit Union in Phoenix, Arizona, will serve as vice-chair; Tyler Valentine, President and CEO of Laramie Plains Community Credit Union in Laramie, Wyoming, will serve as secretary; and Rainy Thoen, President and CEO of Community Choice Credit Union in Commerce City, Colorado, will serve as treasurer. The Foundation board of directors provides leadership and direction for the Foundation.
“The mission of the Foundation is one that resonates with those we are able to assist and I’m honored to serve on the board,” said Tynsky. “The resources we allocate help beneficiaries in areas such as leadership development, training and education in order to further the credit union movement, which is something we are all committed to doing.”
Other members of the board include: Judy Auvil, San Tan Credit Union (Chandler, Arizona); Susan Frank, Desert Schools Federal Credit Union (Phoenix, Arizona); Bob Hoel, Filene Research Institute (Denver, Colorado); Jane Prancan, Bellco Credit Union (Denver, Colorado); John Uchida, Space Age Federal Credit Union (Aurora, Colorado); Mike Williams, Colorado Credit Union (Denver, Colorado); and Bob Ramirez, Vantage West Credit Union (Tucson, Arizona).
