Mountain West Credit Union Foundation names 2015-2016 Board Officers
PHOENIX, AZ and DENVER, CO (April 7, 2015) — The Mountain West Credit Union Foundation has elected its 2014-2015 board of directors officers. The officers were elected at the MWCUA’s Annual Meeting & Convention held late March in Phoenix, Arizona.
“The Mountain West Credit Union Foundation exists to provide financial support in the areas of leadership development, professional development, academic scholarships and community assistance,” said Dr. Dan Santangelo, Executive Director of the Foundation. “Our Board is a group of engaged and dedicated leaders who are committed to helping ensure the future of credit unions utilizing the Foundation’s resources.”
Todd Pearson, President and CEO of Arizona Central Credit Union in Phoenix, Arizona, will serve as the board chair. Rainy Thoen, President and CEO of Community Choice Credit Union in Commerce City, Colorado, will serve as vice-chair; Mike Williams, President and CEO of Colorado Credit Union in Denver, Colorado, will serve as secretary; and Tyler Valentine, President and CEO of Laramie Plains Community Credit Union in Laramie, Wyoming, will serve as treasurer. The Foundation board of directors provides leadership and direction for the Foundation.
“The Foundation helps provide resources so that credit unions and their employees receive the kind of training and support that will help further their growth,” said Pearson. “The members of the Board are privileged to help allocate funding for much-needed programs such as leadership development, training and education, and supporting Children’s Hospitals in order to further the credit union movement.”
Other members of the board include: Judy Auvil, San Tan Credit Union (Chandler, Arizona); Susan Frank, Desert Schools Federal Credit Union (Phoenix, Arizona); Bob Hoel, Filene Research Institute (Denver, Colorado); Jane Prancan, Bellco Credit Union (Denver, Colorado); Brian Rohrbacher, Atlantic City Federal Credit Union (Lander, Wyoming); John Uchida, Space Age Federal Credit Union (Aurora, Colorado); and Scott Earl, Mountain West Credit Union Association (Denver, Colorado).
