MSUFCU offers app to help students achieve financial success

EAST LANSING, MI (September 8, 2014) — To help college students get on the path to financial wellness, MSU Federal Credit Union offers money.edu, a free mobile app designed to offer financial tips and promote good money management skills.

Students can use money.edu to set up budgets, learn financial terminology and facts, submit questions to an expert, and more. Not only does money.edu allow students to track their finances, but it allows them to do it on the go. Money.edu is available in the Apple iTunes App Store and is compatible with the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, operating on iOS 5.0 or later.

In addition to the app, MSUFCU also offers a money.edu video series on YouTube, which covers a variety of topics tailored to students including: budgeting, student-targeted scams, travel tips, savings tips, and more.

“We are proud to provide a variety of resources that will help our members achieve financial security,” said Patrick McPharlin, MSUFCU’s President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). “Money.edu is a great opportunity for us to reach out to college students and give them the resources to effectively manage their finances.”
