MSUFCU recognized with ATHENA Organizational Leadership Award

Credit Union honored for ensuring women have opportunities for leadership roles

EAST LANSING, MI (April 11, 2019) — MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU) was recognized March 28, 2019, with an award from ATHENA Award® Program for Organizational Leadership. This is based on its commitment to support female professionals, such as appointing women into management positions, and donating to community organizations.

“We are honored to receive this award in recognition of our history of hiring and promoting women into leadership roles,and our commitment to the community,” said April Clobes, President/CEO of MSUFCU. “Seventy percent of management positions at MSUFCU are held by women, which is reflective of overall employee base—70% of which are women.”

The ATHENA Award Program recognizes organizations for professional excellence, providing valuable service to their communities, and assisting women in their attainment of professional goals and leadership skills. The Credit Union also helps strengthen communities by providing education and resources to underserved populations, creating sustainable programs, and empowering others to make a positive difference.
