EAST LANSING, MI (April 10, 2014) — MSU Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce to have been chosen as the winner of the 2014 Governor’s Council Outstanding Healthy Workplace Award for the large employer category.
On Thursday, April 24, 2014, MSUFCU will be honored during the Governor’s Fitness Award Gala Celebration at Ford Field.
The Governor’s Council Outstanding Healthy Workplace Award recognizes workplaces that are excelling at the highest level in providing health and fitness opportunities for employees, and are fully integrated into the organization’s mission, vision, and goals moving forward. From providing fitness facilities on-site, to offering physical activities and wellness opportunities to its employees and the community at large through the sponsorship of local walks and races, MSUFCU strives for excellence when it comes to wellness promotion programs.
The CU Healthy program is MSUFCU’s internal health promotion program which helps employees get on the path to wellness. The goal of the program is to encourage employees to build regular physical activity and healthy habits into their daily routine through earning points for various activities and internal challenges. With this program, the Credit Union encourages a culture of health and wellness by providing resources, choices, and programs while motivating employees to secure ownership over the health, success, and balance in their lives. By providing these resources to employees, MSUFCU hopes to create a healthy and engaged workforce.
”This award serves as a way to recognize our dedication to our mission to assist members and employees to achieve their goals and ultimately, their dreams,” said Patrick McPharlin, MSUFCU’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “Creating a healthy workplace and promoting employee wellness is just one way that we fulfill this mission and further strive to bring good health and happiness to each of our employees.”
