The recognition, MCU’s first Senior Vice President under MCU’s new leadership, reflects Salembier’s contributions to the Credit Union and his relentless focus on member service.

Municipal Credit Union (MCU), the New York Metro area’s largest credit union, announced that Stuart Salembier has been promoted from Vice President, Member Experience, to Senior Vice President, Member Engagement and Channel Delivery.

“As a credit union, our mission is to help hard-working New Yorkers build better tomorrows," said Kyle Markland, Chief Executive Officer of MCU. “Under Stuart’s leadership, our Retail channels have improved quarter over quarter, providing our members with better, faster, and smarter service. This promotion reflects the dedication Stuart has shown to our membership and our employees, and we are proud to have him as MCU’s first Senior Vice President.”

Having joined MCU in 2020 as Director, Retail, Salembier’s title was later expanded to Vice President, Member Experience, reflecting broadened responsibilities due to improvements under his leadership in member service and KPIs across the board.

Salembier has led numerous strategic initiatives that have enhanced convenience, accessibility and service consistency for MCU members. For his positive leadership within MCU’s Retail organization, he was recognized by Employ Humanity as an Inspirational Leader in 2024, and his implementation of advanced member-service solutions won the Talkdesk CX Innovators Award, was a case study in the Talkdesk Inc. win of the BCX Awards and Tekkie Awards, and was featured in Call Centre Helper magazine. He has also educated audiences at numerous credit-union and technology conferences and events.

In addition to Salembier’s current responsibilities of overseeing branch operations, the contact center, and MCU’s ATM network, he will now also lead Facilities and Security Operations.

"This promotion recognizes everything that Stuart brings to our organization and beyond,” added Toni-Ann Sforza, MCU’s Chief Operating Officer and Chief Human Resources Officer. “He embodies living our core values, putting members and employees first, and is universally respected for his leadership which has allowed his teams to grow and thrive as individuals and as an organization.”
