MyPoint Credit Union raises over $20,000 for San Ysidro Health’s El Zapatón fundraiser

SAN DIEGO, CA (February 20, 2024)MyPoint Credit Union, in a celebration of philanthropy and commitment to giving back to the community, has led a fundraising effort resulting in a generous $20,200 donation to San Ysidro Health’s El Zapatón Shoes for Wellness Campaign. 

Adrianna O’Donnell, the Director of Philanthropy at San Ysidro Health, expresses her gratitude, stating, “MyPoint Credit Union, along with its staff and members, has generously contributed over $20,000 to support San Ysidro Health’s El Zapatón Shoes for Wellness Campaign. This significant donation ensures access to essentials like shoes, socks, backpacks, health screenings, immunizations, and hygiene kits for children across San Diego County. Their unwavering dedication greatly enhances the well-being of the children we serve, and we are grateful to have them as a valued ally in fulfilling our mission.”

El Zapatón, translating to “the Big Shoe” in Spanish, is an initiative aimed at providing children aged 5-17 from low-income backgrounds with critical resources such as new shoes, socks, backpacks, health screenings, immunizations, and hygiene kits. MyPoint Credit Union’s substantial contribution will play a pivotal role in ensuring that these essentials reach the children who need them the most.
