SOMERVILLE, MA (November 1, 2022) — Naveo Credit Union announced it would offer four scholarships for the 2023-2024 academic year. Naveo is offering three scholarships of $1,500 each through the Carlos Faria & Victor Da Silva Memorial Scholarship Fund and one scholarship of $3,000 through the John C. Feitor Memorial Scholarship Fund. The Scholarships were announced in November to coincide with National Scholarship Month.
Both scholarship programs are open to full-time students currently enrolled, accepted or awaiting acceptance to a college or university in an undergraduate or graduate degree program. To qualify, applicants or their parent/guardian must be or become a Naveo member by the submission deadline. Scholarships also require certified copies of transcripts, an essay component and information on community involvement. For full details and eligibility information, visit naveo.org/scholarships.
Naveo is accepting complete scholarship applications through March 17, 2023. Naveo’s Scholarship Committee will anonymously score recipients based on the scholarship criteria. The recipients will be notified in April and scholarships will be awarded at Naveo’s Annual Meeting in the Spring.
The Scholarship Funds are named after former board members for their dedication to education and community involvement.
