New Summit Credit Union branch helps members plan to reach their dreams

Second Inspiration branch creates an immersive experience of major life events within full-service location

MADISON, WI (April 2, 2019) — The first step to achieving goals is envisioning them, and Summit Credit Union is helping members do exactly that with the opening of their second Inspiration branch. The branch opened Monday, April 1 and contains meeting spaces modeled after members’ life goals to motivate them to take action.

“As kids we dream about what our lives will look like when we grow up, but we often lose touch with that outlook as we get older and busier,” said Kim Sponem, CEO & president of Summit Credit Union. “The Inspiration branches are designed to inspire adults to pause and think about their goals and dreams while creating actionable plans for the future.”

In addition to all the services expected at any full-service branch, the new Inspiration branch, located at Summit’s new Cottage Grove headquarters, features spaces meant to remind members that Summit can help them achieve their dreams. The immersive experience gives members the opportunity to meet with Summit advisers in environments that align with their own goals.

Among others, spaces include a house under construction for members hoping to build their dream home and a diner to inspire entrepreneurs interested in starting a business. Additional meeting spaces include an RV trailer for aspiring travelers and a log cabin for members dreaming of owning a vacation home.

The Cottage Grove Inspiration branch joins its Fitchburg counterpart, which opened Fish Hatchery Road in 2013.

Located at 1709 Landmark Drive, the Cottage Grove branch is open from 8:30 am-5 pm Monday through Thursday, 8:30 am-6 pm on Fridays and 9 am-12 pm on Saturdays. Drive-up lanes with access to a video teller machine will be available 7:30 am-6 pm Monday through Friday and 8:30 am-1 pm on Saturdays.
