NewGround and Atlantic Central Credit Union win
CCUA’s 2019 AIM Award for “Branch Design”
CHESTERFIELD, MO (May 15, 2019) — NewGround, a St. Louis-based innovative architecture, design, and delivery firm, announced that Atlantic Central Credit Union received recognition for receiving the Achievement in Marketing (AIM) award from the Canadian Credit Union Association (CCUA) for their branch system transformation.
Winning the AIM award signifies achievement in credit union marketing excellence across Canada in digital, content, design, and advertising ingenuity.
Atlantic Central Credit Union, which represents and supports credit unions system-wide in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Labrador, and Prince Edward Island, created a strategic marketing plan that was universally adopted by the majority of the 49 credit unions within the branch system.
NewGround Canada, based in Waterloo, Ontario, and Atlantic Central Credit Union developed four prototypes for different scales of branches, including flagship, full service, express, and micro options. All branch designs display a cohesive brand that paves the way for each credit union to unite their branch system.
The branches feature unique navy and yellow color-block walls, highlighting verticals in the space with complementary lighting accents. Neutral flooring, furniture, and finishes are also utilized throughout, drawing attention to the branded accent walls and pops of color found throughout the branches.
“It was a true honor to be recognized by CCUA for our work with Atlantic Central Credit Union as their design partner. Atlantic Central Credit Union was a great client to work with, and we were thrilled to help transform their branches,” said Greg Ward, President of NewGround Canada.
