North Shore Credit Union Named 50 Best Small and Medium Employers in Canada
North Vancouver, British Columbia, December 5, 2012 – North Shore Credit Union (NSCU) has been named among the 50 Best Small and Medium Employers in Canada for the second consecutive year. NSCU’s highly engaged employees, along with the organization’s progressive people practices and commitment to bold strategies, have earned the credit union a spot on this prestigious national list. The national ranking program is published annually in PROFIT Magazine and online at profitguide.ca.
Becoming a Best Small and Medium Employer is a very detailed and competitive process. The national awards program recognizes top employers with between 50 and 399 employees. The program mirrors the renowned Best Employer in Canada list published in Maclean’s Magazine; however, caters to smaller businesses.
“We take pride in what we are accomplishing together at North Shore Credit Union,” said Chris Catliff, President and CEO, North Shore Credit Union. “Collectively, we are moving our industry forward and expanding the notion of what a credit union can be. Our innovative approach resonates with our staff and creates strong alignment with our vision and strategy. The result is highly engaged employees for which we are honoured to be recognized.” North Shore Credit Union is a values-based organization, employing over 300 people across the Lower Mainland and Sea-to-Sky region.
The 50 Best Small and Medium Employer rankings are primarily determined by using the results from Employee Opinion Surveys. The evaluation process also includes the assessment of organizational practices and perspectives from the leadership team. This year, more than 200 organizations across Canada participated in the study.
Study partners include Queen’s School of Business, Queen’s Centre for Business Venturing and Aon Hewitt. More information about the Best Small & Medium Employers in Canada is available online at http://bsmestudycanada.com.
